The best nanodegree to get right now if I were you

I can relate to those like me who already have a rewarding and fulfilling full-time career. One that allows me to provide for my family and that little extra for relaxation and recreation.

But occasionally I consider the benefits of exploring other opportunities and potential backup plans and in the course of my research, I managed to notice something called digital marketing. I asked myself what it was and would could it possibly mean to me, a busy, college-educated professional with an active family life?

These days it seems as though digital marketing continues to increase as a share of all total marketing year after year. While even big companies can afford to dedicate a hefty chunk of their budgets to it, even small businesses can use the same powerful tools. The opportunities for trained digital marketers seem limitless.

It makes sense that individuals with digital marketing degrees will be in high demand going forward and it follows that a digital marketing nanodegree program would be very beneficial.

Some researchers, such as Hook Agency, claim the digital portion of marketing budgets might average 45% by 2020 with the overall field of marketing probably increasing about 10% by 2026.

Luckily, the options for getting started in the career seem to be just as wide open as the field itself. According to Udacity, an online education organization, some of the top ten position titles range from digital marketing manager to content strategist to SEO specialist and so on.

I managed to find a few subjects such as marketing channels, content promotion, and website UX optimization, not to mention impact measurements.

If you feel like you would prefer the type of extra education that can potentially provide a boost to your family's household income I encourage you to research Udacity's digital marketing nanodegree for a flexible intro to the growing industry.
